Getting Started

New Client Questions

How do I schedule my first appointment?
You can book online through our booking page or call our office at (940) 464-9800. If you plan to use insurance, we recommend completing our Insurance Verification Form first — we'll confirm your benefits before your visit so there are no surprises.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
Your initial visit is approximately two hours. We take a deep-dive into your health history, current eating patterns, lifestyle, goals, and any past challenges. You'll also have the option for an InBody body composition scan. By the end of the visit, you and your dietitian will have collaborated on a personalized plan with clear, doable next steps.
Which dietitian should I choose?
Each of our dietitians brings unique expertise and personality. Janna specializes in weight management, adult nutrition, and corporate wellness. Sabrina has a passion for sports nutrition and lifestyle change. Jenny focuses on family, pediatric, and student-athlete nutrition. Visit our Our Team page to read full bios and find your best fit — or just call us and we'll match you!
Do you see children, teens, and families?
Absolutely. We serve clients of all ages, from toddlers to adults. Our pediatric-certified dietitians are experienced with picky eating, weight management in kids, and student-athlete fueling. Family visits are also welcome — we can address multiple family members in the same session in some cases.
What is your overall nutrition philosophy?
We believe sustainable health comes from realistic, personalized strategies — not restrictive diets or one-size-fits-all programs. We meet you where you are, take the time to understand your lifestyle, and build a plan that actually fits. Education and empowerment are at the center of everything we do.
Insurance & Payment

Coverage & Cost

Do you accept insurance?
Yes! We are in-network with many major insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Humana, Medicare, and more. Many plans cover nutrition counseling at little or no out-of-pocket cost. Complete our Insurance Verification Form and we'll confirm your benefits within 2 business days. Note: We do not work directly with health share programs at this time.
What if I don't have insurance or my insurance isn't accepted?
No problem — we offer transparent self-pay rates for clients without insurance or for services not covered by their plan. Call us at (940) 464-9800 to discuss session rates and package options. A Good Faith Estimate is available upon request per the No Surprises Act.
How do I find out if my insurance covers nutrition counseling?
The fastest way is to fill out our Insurance Verification Form on the booking page. We'll look up your benefits and contact you within 2 business days to let you know exactly what's covered. You can also call your insurance company directly and ask about "Medical Nutrition Therapy" (MNT) or "nutrition counseling" benefits.
Do you accept HSA or FSA payments?
Yes! We accept HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards along with all major credit cards, cash, and check. Nutrition counseling from a registered dietitian is typically an HSA/FSA-eligible expense.
Appointments & Scheduling

What to Expect

How often will I need to follow up?
Follow-up frequency is completely personalized. Your dietitian will work with you to find a cadence that makes sense for your goals — weekly, biweekly, or monthly check-ins are all common. Follow-ups typically run 30–60 minutes and focus on reviewing your progress, troubleshooting barriers, and adjusting your plan.
Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes! We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth video visits for clients anywhere in Texas. Telehealth is covered by most insurance plans at the same rate as in-person visits, making it just as convenient and affordable. You can book a telehealth appointment the same way as any in-person visit through our booking page.
What is your cancellation policy?
We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may incur a $50 fee; no-shows may incur a $75 fee, which is not billable to insurance. We understand life happens — just give us a call and we'll work with you.
Where is Radiant Nutrition located?
We are located at 306 Hwy 377, Suite F, Argyle, TX 76226 — just past Point Bank on Hwy 377. We are in Argyle, not Roanoke. Free parking is available. For directions, visit our Contact page.
Services & Specialties

What We Treat & Support

What conditions do you work with?
Our dietitians work with a wide range of health goals and conditions including: weight management, Type 1 & Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, sports performance, pediatric nutrition, picky eating, GLP-1 / peptide-paired nutrition, and general healthy lifestyle support.
What is an InBody scan and do I need one?
An InBody scan is a body composition analysis tool that measures muscle mass, body fat percentage, visceral fat, hydration levels, and more — giving a much more complete picture than weight alone. It's available at our Argyle office and is recommended for most in-person clients. It's not required but is a powerful tool for tracking true progress.
Do you support clients using GLP-1 medications or peptides?
Yes! We have a dedicated Peptides service that pairs dietitian-guided nutrition with GLP-1s, compounded peptides like BPC-157, and other protocols. Proper nutrition is critical for maximizing results and minimizing side effects with these medications. Our dietitians stay current on the latest research and can guide you through candidacy and protocols.
Do you provide meal plans?
We provide personalized nutrition guidance, which may include structured meal examples, sample menus, and frameworks for building balanced meals — but our approach is educational rather than purely prescriptive. We focus on teaching you how to make great food choices independently, so you build lasting skills rather than reliance on a rigid plan.
